Buoyed by the overwhelmingly positive response to tracing the two young girls

Buoyed by the overwhelmingly positive response to tracing the two young girls I photographed at Sambor Prei Kuk fifteen years ago, I’m keen to see if I get a similar reaction to three young girls - I nicknamed them the Three Srey’s - who I met at Ta Prohm temple at Tonle Bati, just a few months later, on New Year’s Day, January 2008. My interaction with these three lasted a lot longer as they tagged along on my two-hour temple visit – I don’t recall anyone else at the temple except a couple of elderly guardians. In age order, Srey Ng was the youngest at six years old, and the cheekiest, and is wearing the striped top; Srey Lin was seven, wearing pink and wouldn't let go of my hand as we walked around the temple, while Srey Nean was the older of the trio at eight years old, definitely in charge and can be seen carrying the incense sticks in every photo. They were adorably cute, laughing for much of the time and great fun to be around, and they loved having their picture taken, hence so many photos. Does anyone reading this post recognize these 3 girls? They will now be in their early twenties. Will the power of Facebook manage to spread to Tonle Bati, some thirty kilometres from Phnom Penh? Or will I take a trip to Tonle Bati to trace them in person?
